Dr. Mary Sarotte named Berlin Prize Fellow

Dr. Mary Sarotte. a Marie-Josée and Henry R. Kravis Distinguished Professor of Historical Studies, has been selected as a 2022 Berlin Prize Fellow for her work in Russian-Western relations.

The Berlin Prize Fellowship is awarded to both emerging and established scholars to facilitate work that “enriches transatlantic dialogue in the arts, humanities, and public policy through the development and communication of projects of the highest scholarly merit.” Those award the fellowship will spend a semester in Berlin to work in the American Academy’s network and foster lasting transatlantic relationships. 

Dr. Sarotte will spend her time in Berlin writing her upcoming book Grace and Gift: The Elusive Goal of European Partnership with Russia.
