Dr. Tamar Zaki named Fellow of the American Physical Society

Tamar Zaki, professor of mechanical engineering, has been named a Fellow of the American Physical Society.

Election as an APS Fellow recognizes outstanding professional contributions to the field of physics. Tamer was recommended for this honor by the American Physical Society Division of Fluid Dynamics for his “fundamental contributions to linear and non-linear theories of bypass transition, novel applications of data science to fluid mechanics, and innovative numerical simulations of Newtonian and non-Newtonian flows with practical applications.”
