Rajat Mittal has been named an American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering Fellow

Rajat Mittal, professor and director of master’s degree studies in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, was recognized “for impactful developments of immersed boundary methods and their insightful application in cardiology, gastric digestion, COVID-19, and swimming biomechanics.”

The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering Fellows honors Rajal and others who have made “outstanding contributions to teaching, research, and innovation in their fields.”
