
Justin Hanes Has Been Elected to the National Academy of Engineering
Justin Hanes, a professor of ophthalmology at the Johns Hopkins University Wilmer Eye Institute and director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Nanomedicine, has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering. This honor is awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to engineering research, practice, or education. Hanes was recognized for his pioneering work in drug and gene delivery technologies, which have led to multiple approved products and advancements in treating diseases affecting the eyes, lungs, and brain.
