
Jaelyn Watson Program Coordinator for Leadership Advancement & Development Academy
Jaelyn was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maryland in 2021. After taking a year and a half off, she relocated to the Atlanta metropolitan area and went on to earn her Master of Science in Sports Management & Policy from the University of Georgia in 2024. Her academic journey is supported by several years of experience providing administrative and operational support to mission-driven organizations across government, nonprofit, and academic sectors—including AARP, local media outlets, collegiate sports programs, and the National Institutes of Health.
In April 2025, Jaelyn joined Johns Hopkins University as a Program Coordinator in the Office of Faculty Affairs, supporting the Leadership, Advancement, and Development (LAD) Academy. In this role, she coordinates programs and events that promote faculty professional growth and leadership development. She also contributes to strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and the implementation of university-wide faculty initiatives.
Jaelyn is passionate about organizational efficiency, inclusive leadership, and developing programs that support academic and professional advancement.
